At end-september 2006, Compagnie des Alpes'shareholders totaled around 4,500 shareholders. Caisse des Dépôts, fournder of CDA in 1989, controls 42% of the capital and voting rights (double voting rights do not exist at CDA). Private investment fund Compagnie Européenne de Loisirs became a shareholder in may 2004, and is now the second largest with a 13.8% holding. Other important shareholders are Crédit Agricole des Savoie (7.2%), Caisses d'Epargne (5.8%) and Banque Populaire des Alpes (3.5%). All these shareholders are represented on the company's Supervisory Board.
Free float stands at 27%, of which around 9.7% is held by foreign investors. In 2005 UK investment fund M&G exceeded the 5% threshold, and held 5.6% on 30 september 2006. This shareholder has held a stake continuously since CDA'stock market flotation in 1994.
Employees are Compagnie des Alpes shareholders via an investment fund, with contributions from the Group, which held 2.6% of the capital at end September 2006.
