Shareholders

At end-september 2011, Compagnie des Alpes'shareholders totaled around 6,000 shareholders. Caisse des Dépôts, fournder of CDA in 1989, controls 39.8% of the capital and voting rights (double voting rights do not exist at CDA). Sofival became a shareholder in october 2007 with the bought of STVI (Val d'Isère) and 3 other participations of 20% in Avoriaz, Valmorel et La Rosière. SOFIVAL has a stake of 8.7%. Other important shareholders are Crédit Agricole Group (7.3%), and BPCE Group (8%). All these shareholders are represented on the company's Directors Board. 

Free float stands at 36%, with more than 15% held by foreign investors. In 2005 UK investment fund M&G exceeded the 5% threshold, and held 11.6% on 30 september 2011. This shareholder has held a stake continuously since CDA'stock market flotation in 1994. 

Employees are Compagnie des Alpes shareholders via an investment fund, with contributions from the Group, which held 1,6% of the capital at end September 2011.
