The trademark of La Plagne: a festive and sporting spirit cultivated daily, the DNA of a connected and innovative resort, for a seamless, tailor-made experience.

Created in 1960, the "largest resort in the world," operated by CDA via the Société d’Aménagement de la Plagne, offers 225 km of slopes suitable for all levels. The Savoyard resort is an integral part of Paradiski, one of the largest ski domains in France, with 425 km of connected slopes including the Arcs / Peisey-Vallandry area, linked by the Vanoise Express, the longest cable car in the world without a supporting pylon.

With 70% of the ski area above 2,000 meters, La Plagne guarantees varied high-altitude skiing in an exceptional natural setting.

The resort, home to France’s only bobsleigh track (built for the 1992 Albertville Olympic Games), is also renowned for its innovative, sporting, cultural, and festive events organized throughout the year, notably around its YUGE app, which has won around twenty marketing awards.

2027 – 2052: Compagnie des Alpes continues its story with La Plagne

On 25 November 2025, the Syndicat Intercommunal de la Grande Plagne chose to renew its trust in CDA, entrusting the management of its domain for another 25 years.

For Dominique Thillaud, Group CEO: "We are particularly happy and proud that SIGP has chosen our offer to continue supporting them in managing their domain until 2052. This decision honors us and obliges us. It reflects the quality of the work carried out by SAP over decades. It also demonstrates that the teams of Compagnie des Alpes, SAP, and its partners have been able to reinvent themselves to offer SIGP an innovative vision for the future of La Plagne."

2026: the new Roche de Mio gondola transforms the experience for skiers and summer visitors

Since its inauguration in 1975, the Roche de Mio gondola has marked the history of the ski area. Linking Plagne Bellecôte to the summit of Roche de Mio at 2,739 m, it has accompanied generations of skiers. At the time, it was the longest gondola ever built, symbolizing innovation for the Savoyard resort.

In 2026, after 50 years of service, this iconic installation gives way to a new generation lift. The main change lies in the new route: the line now passes through the Col de Forcle, at the heart of the domain. This strategic choice aims to improve traffic flow and opens new development opportunities, both in winter and summer.
