From seasonal work to a career

Our activities are seasonal by nature. The Group promotes the rehiring of seasonal workers from one year to the next: loyalty is the watchword.

As seen in the high return rates of 49% for leisure parks and 88% for ski areas, this emphasis on loyalty fosters commitment and contributes strongly to Very High Customer Satisfaction. This policy also helps employees further their careers by developing their skills and taking on more responsibilities from one season to the next.

In 2011, CDA signed an agreement on the organisation of internal and external cross-over programmes between the ski area and leisure park business segments, as well as with local companies following different seasonal patterns, in order to provide seasonal workers with employment throughout the year. For example, at the end of each season Parc Astérix organises an employment and training forum devoted to mountain occupations.

Hiring is managed directly by the local HR department, ensuring a tailored response to grassroots requirements. Hiring generally takes place over a 4-6 week period before opening to the public.
