Created in 1987, Futuroscope, located near Poitiers in the Vienne Department, was France’s first theme park. In July 2024, it was complemented by Aquascope, an indoor water park located at the entrance of the original site, awarded the title of the world’s best water park.
Immersion through innovative technologies and original storytelling lies at the heart of the offering of these two parks, now grouped under the name Futuroscope Xperiences. The resort is now positioned as a leading short-stay European destination, welcoming 2.6 million visitors.
A major investment program through 2030
A €300 million investment plan, supported by Compagnie des Alpes, the Vienne Department, and Banque des Territoires, has enabled the development of major attractions, including Objectif Mars, the park’s first roller coaster (2020), Chasseurs de Tornades, voted Best Attraction in the World in 2022 by the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), and Mission Bermudes, a water roller coaster launched in 2025. The site now offers more than 40 attractions and shows in total.
A revolutionary indoor water park
Aquascope, the new 6,000 sqm indoor water park, offers an innovative immersive experience set in a colorful and fantastic universe enhanced by video mapping technologies, complemented by eight water slides and a dedicated children’s area.
Hospitality at the heart of the visitor experience
Hotel development is a strategic pillar of the resort’s positioning. The Station Cosmos hotel (2022) and the Ecolodgee hotel, featuring 120 nature-integrated lodges (2023), now bring the proportion of visitors staying two days or more on site to 55%.
Long-term environmental commitments
ISO 50001 certified for energy performance management since 2019, Futuroscope is committed to a trajectory aimed at achieving carbon neutrality for emissions related to energy and heating.
Its CSR policy is structured around several key priorities: energy efficiency (–20% energy consumption per visitor since 2020, with an additional –10% target by 2030), water resource preservation (–30% water consumption per visitor since 2020, with an additional –10% target by 2030), waste management and reduction, biodiversity, and sustainable mobility.
