Mountain Resorts
Original core business of the group since 1989, Compagnie des Alpes designs, develops, and operates some of the largest and most iconic ski resorts in the French Alps. With 11 mountain resorts among the most renowned in the world, the Group has established itself as a leading player in the mountain sector, recognized for its operational excellence, technical expertise, and ability to integrate its activities into local territories.
Exceptional destinations rooted in their territories
Each ski resort operated by Compagnie des Alpes under long-term concession contracts (Public Service Delegations) is developed in close collaboration with local authorities, socio-professional actors, tourist offices, and all local stakeholders.
Creating increasingly comprehensive mountain experiences
The Group’s expertise covers the entire value chain: design and operation of ski lifts, slope safety and maintenance, crowd management, and quality of reception and services. In parallel, CDA enriches its offering of outdoor leisure and four-season experiences, providing a vibrant mountain throughout the year, accessible to diverse audiences, and fostering connection and sharing — a strategy reinforced by the acquisition of the outdoor specialist Evolution 2.
For a sustainable and responsible mountain
True to the Group’s purpose, its mountain resorts implement concrete actions concerning infrastructure, mobility, renewable energy, water resources, and biodiversity preservation.
Developing the attractiveness of the French Alps
Compagnie des Alpes contributes to the economic, social, and societal development of the territories in which it operates, enabling each local ecosystem to benefit from the impacts of its investments. Each project is developed in close consultation and collaboration with various stakeholders to realize a common ambition and co-create an attractive ecosystem.
Evolution 2
In September 2021, Compagnie des Alpes acquired the Evolution 2 brand, taking a majority stake of 60% in 10 Evolution 2 licensed companies located in the Alps, including 5 within Group resorts. This acquisition of the outdoor specialist, founded in 1987, fully aligns with the Group’s strategic priorities regarding diversification and the development of summer mountain activities.
